Cryptocurrency Trading 101: Coinbase

I downloaded the Coinbase app a few months ago at the beginning of my cryptocurrency journey.

Recently I noticed the “Rewards” section where Coinbase has created educational videos about a few of the newer altcoins.

I’m not sure how they choose which coins to partner with but after you watch a short video there’s a one-question quiz to test for your basic comprehension of the lesson. When you answer that correctly they credit your Coinbase account with $2-3’s worth of the coin you just learned about.

Below you can see the small amounts of crypto I earned just a few hours ago and they’ve already risen in value.

I earned $9, $9, and $3 respectively on XLM, COMP and NU.

It’s a brilliant strategy. I felt so empowered watching the videos and earning the rewards. Even though it’s only a few bucks worth now, I have faith that they will only increase in value.

But better than that— I’m now excited for Celo and the other remarkable coins I would not have otherwise known about without the Coinbase rewards program.
